The TWOST self-assessment online tool described in Intellectual Output n. 1 will bring the users to a general score, and minimum thresholds will be
defined beyond which to award bronze, silver, gold level quality label. Considering that these are only self-assessment paths, the “quality label” is
here defined mainly for two purposes:
- to better evaluate, on a scientific and methodological level, the effective implementation of gender policies within sports associations, acquiring feedback data that can be better analyzed also in a comparative transnational perspective in order to better finalize the self-assessment tool in view of its definitive validation
- to obtain greater visibility and recognition in order to guarantee a wide dissemination of the instrument
The main intellectual output consists of a guideline for the future development of an assessment procedure (no longer “auto-assessment”) which will lead to the acquisition of a third-party “accreditation” for the gender approach in sports clubs. Complementary materials will be produced, such as country specific guidelines, policy templates, use of language guidance and similar.
The actual implementation of an accreditation procedure is out of the scope of the present project, but constitutes a concrete indicator for the
usability of the tools conceived by the TWOST project even beyond the duration of the European funding, in a perspective of self-sustainability of the service created.
In parallel, resources and contents specifically created for the project objectives will be developed and proposed in a personalized way through the platform. The platform will be an online database, built on open source framework (like moodle, or similar) which will be available on a web link (like for instance learn.twost.eu).
The OER platform, enables youth workers to make available educational and awareness materials and Open Educational Resources to youth
associations and end beneficiaries. The platform is structured reflecting the modular approach adopted by the Online Assessment Tool, allowing
youth workers and associations to define the best package according to the guidelines of the Quality Label to address each specific geographical
and social context.
