Background<\/b><\/h2>\n

Social inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities is the main connecting point of this project with the realities of young people with fewer opportunities around Europe. One of the main obstacles for social inclusion are gender stereotypes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mission<\/b><\/h2>\n

TWOST is aimed at preventing gender based discrimination towards youth.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The project addresses in particular a cross-sectorial cooperation, allowing for greater synergies across all fields of actions concerning young people, with a special focus on access to rights, autonomy, participation \u2013including e-participation\u2013 and the active citizenship of young people, avoiding gender self-segregation phenomena and promoting common values of mutual respect between genders and without prejudice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Objectives<\/b><\/h2>\n

The overall goal of the project is to strengthen the prevention and support the fight against stereotypes and gender violence among <\/span>youth workers, young people<\/b> in Europe through piloting of digital innovative resources and inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\n

The specific objectives of the project are:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • To promote Stereotypes and Gender Equality Awareness<\/b>, and to reduce unconscious bias in particular through research on existing studies, tools and methods<\/span><\/li>\n
  • To develop and disseminate non-formal education practical tools<\/b> for youth workers in the field of identification and prevention of stereotypes and gender-based violence.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • To strengthen the role of youth workers in the fight against stereotypes and gender discrimination<\/b><\/li>\n
  • To promote social inclusion and active citizenship<\/b> of the socially excluded young people on a European level<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Activities<\/b><\/h2>\n
      \n
    • Description of the state of the art and statistical analysis about gender stereotypes in youth<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Creation and implementation of Self-Assessment Tool\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Creation of an online database storing all relevant resources and practices on gender equality and gender mainstreaming in youth, including awareness-raising materials and regulatory references<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Development of dissemination campaign<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Organisation of a international event at the end of the project<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
